Major probs!!!!

Hi Guys,

i have an ibiza fr tdi 56plate, yesterday switched car ignition on and heard a loudish droning noise coming from the passenger side in engine bay. then the steering wheel light came on and stayed on, power steering intermitantly works, glow plug wire light flashing and engine light stays on. the car does start, but i won't drive it without any power steering.
has anyone had this problem, is it electrical or am i shafted???!!!!!

i would :
get it on vag-com to see what codes are being produced
check all fluid levels
check to see if any splits in pipes as may have been induced by the weather

not got vag com but i am sorting it.
all fluid levels ok
do you think if battery is on way out, would it cause these probs????
will vag com pick up faulty battery???

just checked faults on vag com.
fault on the motor of the manifold intake flap code p3502.
is this the egr valve???
also it's blowing a fuse all the time!!!!

sounds like you have the eletronic egr valve there has recently been something on this(strip and clean) either on here --Brisoda --or Fred's sounds like it's crapped up "they all do that now sir"
