If the ISO connecters go direct into the headunit - you'll not need a loom.

But can buy ISO>ISO connections that will let you modify it to swap over the IGN & Live.

Just buy the one I said above. Or an ISO to ISO if thats cheaper.

You only need 3 connections

Code:
HU ISO CAR ISO
1-NC NC
2-NC NC
3-NC NC
4-Backup 7-Battery+
5-Ant Rem Connect to blue wire on antenna adaptor if you buy one DO NOT connect to car.
6-NC NC
7-ACC 4-Ignition
8-GND 8-GND

Is your model a cdx-gt30rn?

Thats made by Sony for Renault!!! It effectively a Renault head unit which is why there is no adaptor loom and no switch option to switch over the two inputs.

Its also why the instructions show a connector for adding a Renault remote control!

That shouldn't cause you any problems once you have these leads swapped though. Your pretty lucky actually as the newer Renaults don't have an acc wire its all controlled via the can bus.

No probs:)

Yup you got it. Swap 4 and 7 over and 8 is straight through.

So the car end should only have 3 wires in it.

Connect pin 5 of the HU connector to the blue wire on the antenna power adaptor you just bought. The HU end should then have 4 wires in it.

Build it all up, take a pic and post it up before you hook it up if you like :)

The actual bit that connects to the aerial lead in the car and on the head unit should only fig one way round... I think its correct in your image but its a bit small to say for sure:)

You should have stolen long pointy tweezers... no need for cutting and heat shrinking then! ;)

Actually if you want to spend a few mins trying you can get the "blade" style crimps out of the end that plugs into your car with an unfolded paper clip;)
