Ah ok, well nothing suprises me with Listers anymore im afraid, if you want to see what they are like just search for them, and you will see many a sad story either by myself or others.

Oh and if and when they sort it out, give me the reg number, i have a friend who works there, and will get him to keep an eye on it for you, as some of the guys have a tendency to take customers cars out and abuse them if you get my drift.

Triple D tell me more!! My FR is due to go to Listers on 07.02.07 with Seat Customer care keeping tags on it, as my hubby has been liasing with them. I know its a 30 mile round trip but the only other option is Colliers Seat, which based on my experience with them last week leaves a lot to be desired, so I cancelled Colliers and decided to give Listers a chance.

Like I said tell me more about your experiences with Listers, who was your salesman?

My dilemas have only really been with warranty stuff and the aftersales service (manager) Dan) The sales guys that i have used there in the past have been fine, i used paddy last time, and Neil Henderson the time before that (now chrylser sales manager). If you see the links below, you can kinda see what has happened to me in the past.

Also, when i had my boot resprayed under warranty, i was having some problems with my bump strips, had go them sprayed, and the paint had started to come off, only a small area, maybe the size of a 10p piece.
Sp, car goes into them, leave it with them for 3 days, pick it up, and they have cleaned it, hhmm, i wondered, especially after i told them not to. They had jet washed the whole lot of paint off the bump strips, then tried to make out that it was already like it.Got the body shops number, they wasnt interested and neither were seat. So in the end took it back to the place that i had it done and they replaced and resprayed for free. Now that is what i call customer service, not some place that vandalises your car, and then denise that it was them.

Also you will see in another thread above that they abused my car whislt i was in the show room by wheelspinning past the show room, then revving the car whilst it was in the workshop.

Have also heard many a story of them taking customers cars out for test drives after they have finished and sitting on the rev limiters in each gear, hand brake turns and sliding around roundabouts. One guy at there got pulled over for speeding in a customers car recently ( a silver TFSI Fr), and tried to outrun a T5 volvo. He promply got sacked on the spot when he returned.

I mean yes, there are maybe 1 or 2 good mechanics there, that do respect customers cars, and when i have purchased a car from them, the 2 sales people i mentioned above were very very good, but you get service people like this Dan guy who is an arrogant little :w4nk: that you would love to give a good kickin.

Like i said, try them, ill get my friend to keep an eye on your car, and let me know if its been abused. Some or most of the warranty work ha been fine there, and my car is far from standard and they still carried it out. But the times they have fcuked up, has been pretty big.

Triple D, thanks for the warnings. I bought my FR off paddy, nice chap, if a little laid back and forgetfull (in a nice way).

On referring to the potential abuse of customers cars, let me tell you my hubby is 18 stone and built like a brick S**t house, he has worked in the motor industry for 20 odd years and knows his stuff, so no one pulls the wool over his eye's trust me. Based on your experiences my hubby will inform the service department, subtly that if anyone abuses my FR they had better arrange for an undertaker and body bag to be on standby because my hubby does not F**k about, he would tear their throats out on the spot[B)] , so as you know someone who works at Listers, forewarn them that if they abuse my FR they will be meeting their maker a lot, lot sooner than they anticipated:)
