ok guys , that was a problem for me , i was on road from cairo '270 km away' and during my return it was during night , it was cold like 5C . speed was around 110Km/h and i noticed that temp is decreasing so i didnt mind , but after 30 minutes it reached the minimum on the meter, and after 10 minutes, the car stoped responding to acceleration. 10 minutes more and pressing the clutch is turning it off. i stoped for 5 minutes to warm it up , and it was running normally when it's warm.

scene repeated every 30 kms . temp goes down to min. so engine is off.
did anybody see something like this before?

1 week before , i noticed some rust in my water feeder (that yellow ball) . so i went to the station , they cleaned the water cycle by that machine , and i replaced the regular water with anti-rust solution.

now i am back to my home city , weather is normal and the car is fun to drive as usual . but this means i will not be able to leave my city again during night which is ridiculous .

any clue ?

if i read that right you are saying that driving at night in the cold air it made the engine temperature go down ? then the car cuts out ?

normal daily running its ok ?

not using a cold air feed are you ? only thing i can think off top of my head is carb/fuel icing up like on the old twin webers - cant say i have seen a temp gauge drop right back down though - unless its got an air lock in it ???

another thought - ref cold air feed

carburettor cars had a warm feed pipe that was a foil tube that directed warm air from the manifold to an inlet on the air cleaner if thats missing i cant see it doing all that but wont help

got a picture of your engine bay ???

yeah this one was removed , if i reinstall another foil pipe do u think it will provide carb with enough warm air? i know that's a weird problem , but that's what happened to me !!

the automatic choke isnt working as well.
