Hi chaps,

I think there may be a problem with my turbo somewhere

When i put my foot down hard i get a bit of a louder whistling (almost shreiking) noise than normal:confused:

I dont really notice any loss of power but i wonder if there is a hose leak anywhere and if this is quite common. I've got no warning light either

any ideas? possibly advise on where to look for faults like thiswould be great also

cheers

Have you noticed this since having your remap?

The turbo has a lot more strain on it now that you are running a map, causing it to make more noise.
Its completely safe. As you said you dont seem to lose power, dont worry about it :)

I had mine mapped last year and its only in the last month that i have noticed it!? You're probably right and maybe i've been concentrating on it too much, i'm not sure

maybe. Mine whistles quite a lot in the higher revs, its something you get used too. I questioned it when i first had it remapped, but they told me it was nothing to worry about.

You could always get it checked for boost leaks etc, but i think it will be OK.
