Login code not accepted error 31 Help please

Just put a new pressure sensor in the car. When going to engine, coding 11 and inputting the code to adapt the sensor, it gives me the error 'login code not accepted by controller' and the next line states 'error 31 request out of range'.

So I connected the old sensor back up and get the same error. The DPF has had many failed regens and it desperately needs one but I need to adapt the sensor first or it won't know the exact status of the DPF.

Any help please? Got a heavily pregnant missus who needs it for work and I'm concerend it's going to go into limp or fail when she's away from home.

try coding 2
on the vwaudiforum there is a description how to adapt and reset all dpf values

Yes genuine cable. Sorry yes it's coding 2, engine, code = 30605 adaptation in line with the correct procedure as described on the vwaudi forum.
