Went around and clamped up absolutley every pipe with new clamps , and changed one last vacum hose for silicone.
Went out in the car and the boost is still not consistent , however it did hit 18psi for a short while and bloody hell it was quality !
The car then juddered and I lost all boost , so back home. Went around all the intercooler pipes again and tightened them up. Back out in the car and the ic hose that joins to the existing pipework in the centre of the car popped off. Now I think I have made a bit of a schoolboy error with this as I left the rubber sleeve on the plastic pipe to clamp the new intercooler pipework to , so essentially I had a rubber to rubber connection :S
Really chuffed but still getting the following codes
thats where mine was blowing off infact i know another couple of people whos does it in the same place too, must be a weak point! im getting some clips and im gonna go round the whole system and replace and tighten them all right up!
edit: i was obviously misinformed about the clips then!
er, not too sure mate, it came in the kit though, everything apart form the new jubilee on there came in that kit, also surely it must be sitting tight on the engine if theres no alloy pipe? which is probably not helping.
danny lad, yeah same as, scared the shite outta me!
i had to keep pulling over and slipping it back on, the jubilee was nowhere to be seen!!
only problem was it is all pitch black country roads so i was bricking it someone would come round the bend too fast and take me out! but i didnt want to call the aa out over it!
