Ah, simple :)

Although I did speak to soon, it went into limp mode again earlier... I think it might just be all the short journeys I do now I live in a city as I don't seem to have problems on long trips...

Damn technology. Bring back the carbs I say!

have you managed to sort it yet mate? i ve got same problem and was following your thread for guidance, ive done the n75 and map sensor on the intercooler, also changed some of those little vac pipes that go around the top of the engine, funny thing with mine though - i was getting the positive deviation for a while and after i changed the map sensor iv started getting a manifold pressure sensor short same as yours.

will update you if i manage to sort mine

Not yet no.

Although sometimes it is just fine...

I think it is only when the weather is cold that it seems to happen. Not sure what that would indicate!

right - i ve fixed it, i originaly had a positive deviation -

changed map sensor and then got a manifold pressure sensor - short to b+ fault -

put old map sensor back on and started getting positive deviation again

checked on ross tech wiki - excellent site - tells you that the p1557 means and poss faults and solutuions

started to change the little vac pipes around the n75 -

the pipe from the airbox to the t piece - small vac pipe 6mm diameter- just under the maf was blocked - was my fault due to a diy job i did earlier, now clear and no limp mode.

- think the new map sensor was faulty -
will exchange for new for future

limp mode problem

The Central convience module is quite simple one. Does your rear wash wipe squirt seem a dribble. If so you will be pumping water into your tailgate and will have got water into your boot switch, I had this last week the dealer replaced the boot latch I believe and reattached the pipe so it doesn't leak any more, more water on the screen is good and no fault on the ecu even better. Should be a simple fix as the dealer did it in a hour and that included it being washed.

hey whats up i have a seat arosa but it always goes into limp mode when pulling off then it fixes it self. i had a diagnostic ran on it and it read, solonied valve 1 and 5 short to ground. what does that mean?

Not sure you would need to give a little bit more info ie fault code number as this would isolate it to a specific group of potential problems

I know it has been such a long time since I first asked for help, but I finally got the map sensor changed, unfortunately, while celebrating and giving the car a nice italian tune up (well as italian as you can get in a spanish car with a german diesel engine in soggy Lincoln!), the car went into limp mode again >.<

Anyways, vag-com gave me this:

Chassis Type: 1M - Seat Leon
Scan: 01,02,03,08,15,17,19,22,35,46,56

Address 01 -------------------------------------------------------
Controller: 038 906 012 FK
Component: 0000SG 3357
Coding: 00002
Shop #: WSC 06441
VSSZZZ1MZ2R078047 SEZ7Z0A1379586
1 Faults Found:
17965 - Charge Pressure Control: Positive Deviation
P1557 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
Readiness: N/A

Any ideas on what I can try next guys?

I also had a turbo hose blow off the car about a month ago, one underneath the turbo, but that is no very securely held on...

Anyone want to buy a Leon?

Thanks again guys
