I did a quick serch but couldn't find anything on this issue.

I'll try my best to explain this without any pictures.

I'm changing the door speaker on my leon and have removed the trim and drilled out the rivets for the speaker but the holes that are then left behind are bigger than the screws/screw holes for the new speaker. Because the speaker edge has a lip all the way round I can't pop on any of the metal clips that came with the speakers to use incase the hole was bigger. At the moment i'm using wall plugs to keep the speaker in  , but i would prefer not to do that.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

I did ask in halfords if the car needed speaker adappters and they said no. The speakers came with a plastic ring but the holes line up with the speaker so i wouldn't be able to fix it without the speaker in. I suppose i could drill new holes in the plastic adapter as a work around.
