Ok, this has probably been asked at least 1000 times before, and despite searching, I still cant quite find the answer!

Lets suppose that on your day off, you drove off out somewhere, had a great day out, and then on your way out of the multi-storey, despite being careful, you mangaed to scag your leon's front splitter on the ground and pop out the two centre mountings!

So, on your next day off you decide to pop them back in! You may find this is much harder than it looks, or in my case, I was prob trying too hard using the wrong method!

Tryed to get under front end and using pliers, squeeze the two prongs together and slip the mounts back in. However, due to the gap available between the car and the floor this was a little tricky and cannot manage to squeeze the prongs together close enough to fit them back in!

Anyone managed to do this without needing to jack up front end and use lump hammer? Advice please?

Reminds me of a girl I once knew :hide:

On a serious note, I have heard of people using a jack under the centre part of the splitter to get the pegs back in.

That's the method I use! Stops working after a while tho...

Come to think of it, I don't actually have a splitter on my car at the mo!! It's on the side of a road somewhere...

this is the approach i took.. :funk:

actually, when i fit my r front bumper, it took me ages to get the splitter on, and it was off the car at the time too. upside down on a workbench and a big hammer sorted it in the end!
