Jims car does have a Forge Twintercooler. Surprised he is bothering with the big turbo kit if his car is putting out a genuine 290bhp, but having driven it, I can confirm it is quick.
However when you think that he is buying it at cost price, fitting it and remapping it himself, it becomes financially feasible. However for a customer I would think he will charge at least £2-£3k for everything thats required which would be a fair price as he needs to stay in business.
When finished, his car is going to be little or no more powerful than a Cupra with a new GIAC hammer map he will soon offer as a GIAC dealer, and that map can be switched off hence better as far as the dealer is concerned. He would also be running the BWA engine with standard internals at almost twice the power it had when new.
Not taking anything away from Jim or his car - far from it as his car will be a wolf in sheeps clothing. Also, knowing Jim, it will have an awesome power/torque plot. However my point is why spend £3000+ making a £17k FR have the same power via a major conversion swapping out several component parts including the turbo when a £19.5k Cupra with a £500 remap that can be switched off is available with approx the same power for approx the same money.
