Leon Engine Temperature problems

I am hoping that there maybe someone out there who knows the answer to this.
When driving the car it starts off fine, but then after a while (especially if you rag it for a few minutes) the temp starts to rise to about 100-110C, i have checked fluid levels, and that the radiator fans are working and all seems to be good.
When stationary the temperature stays just fine at 90C with the fans cutting in and out. the temp falls back down to 90C after about another 10mins of driving if you go slow with the blowers on hot.

I have read the other thread and most off the issues there seem to be related to fans that arent working.

has anyone got any ideas?

cheers

if the fans are working it could be an air lock in the coolant system or a sticky thermostat

id get it looked at, ive 'ragged' mine and its never stepped above 90C

Hi guys.

I have been searching but can't find anything relating to my EXACT problem although I'm sure I have seen it before.

The problem - When I was cruising down the motorway yesterday my engine temp gauge kept falling from 90 to around 75 then rising again. It was doing this quite slowly.

No warning lights or anything and no change in performance.

Any ideas? I did top up the oil a couple of days ago.

Thanks.

If there is no overheating ( physically ) and there are no warning lights and the fans are doing there job i would assume there is not a problem as the temp gauge will fluctuate due to driving conditions and ambient temp etc
