Leon Cupra Turbo PLaying up :(

Hey Guys

Thought a quick post on here might be in order, to see if someone else has had the same problems??

My 02 LC T (180) has suddenly developed a severe lack of power (intermittant). Somedays you hear the turbo whistling away, others it's clearly not working, and generally it seems to have less power than a month ago when I got it. (used to spin the wheels like crazy in 1st in the wet if you weren't careful, these days I guess you'd have to sidestep the clutch to even get it to spin).

A lot of the time, a key off and key on again seems to make it behave differently (sometimes better, sometime worse). So i'm thinking ECU / software issues? Interestingly I've got no MIL / "check engine" light showing?

I've read a few things about N75 valves, and leaky hoses, wondered what the general opinion was??

If it's anything more serious than checking for hoses that have popped off, I'll be calling upon that SEAT warranty before too long...

Cheers,
Steve

ive got similer sito as well, where the car used 2 spin in 1st and 2nd with some great pull. no it lacks power, when the car picks up and hit 2500rpm could hear whirlling/sucking sound when the turbo kicks in.
sound getin louder slowly, most likley i got leak some where. ive got same spec as u but ive jus replaced it with a new maf and n75 valve

Same kind of thing with me, got a LC180 a couple of months ago and recently the engine management light came on. I hooked it up to vag com and it was showing a faulty N75 and a lean mixture. I reset the ECU and the light went off but the car became undriveable after about 2 hours - like it was only running on 2 cylinders or the timing was goosed.

checked out this forum, and the audi tt forum is good for tech stuff too, and the likely culprits seem to be dv and maf, so i've ordered a new dv and disconnected the maf - what a difference that made so so fast now. Hope the dv sorts it permanently when it arrives thou.

Incidentaly the ESP light came on when it pulled the maf sensor out, anyone got any ideas why? wouldnt have thought they'd be related?

Do a search here. Plenty on this. Faulty MAF.

yeh i had new maf meter installed, if you disconnect ther maf meter, the esf or tcl light will come but will goe off, this will show a log statin signal too low, but you need 2clear it.
