Leon Cupra TDI 54 plate 120k miles. What to look for and should i buy?

Yep long term you may be right but if its short term and the elite are a minority you may be getting more problems than you need.

Just to give you another option, I've a black 54 reg Leon 130 TDi for sale. (In the for sale section).

Not a cupra/fr, but its in the right price bracket/age for you and has a lot less than 120k miles (73k currently). It's been chipped so it has more power than cupra/fr has as standard + has a new clutch (no clutch slip). FSH, Cambelt service done.
