A cheap and cheerful way of venting your IC like an S3/TT (About £3)
You'll need:
Parts - B&Q 16 Louvre Aluminium Boiler Vent, Rivets, 4mm washers
Tools - Stanley knife, drill, pencil, rivet gun
Time - About 1 hour
1) Get yourself an large (they do a small and a large) 16 louvre aluminium boiler vent from B&Q, they are £3.08. The advantage over plastic is that you can bend them nicely into shape (keep bending it until it sits nicely in the curve of the arch)
2) It comes with only 4 holes which is not sufficient so drill two more at the top and bottom making 8
3) Jack your pride and joy up and put on axle stands or something that will keep you alive. Take the wheel off.
4) I did not remove the inner arch. Hold the vent up against the inner arch and bend into shape until it sits nicely all the way around.
5) Remove the wheel and mark up the wheel arch by drawing around the vent, mark where the louvres come to and then draw an inner rectangle when you take the vent off which is well inside the holes
5) Get a brand new stanley knife and cut out the inner rectangle. Be careful, you will need to put your hand behind to do this so don’t cut your fingers off.
6) Get some rivets and a river gun. Important: The plastic is quite soft so you MUST put 4mm washers on the back on the rivets to prevent them pulling through.
7) Rivet the vent on (Washers are on back of rivets on otherside)
9) Either leave as silver or paint black (I painted black)
