cheap tyres yes my fault but donr knock the hottuning coilovers as ive ran them on a brm 16v 1.9 mk2 for 3 years & even now i sold the car they are still fitted to that car which is now a full blown track racer in the open championship & its kicking arse

hottuning sell em for £169.99
the following companies re-brand hottuning coilovers & sell em on for more

raceland
v-maxx
janspeed
reinsport
& a few others that i cant rememebr all for upto £399.99

i have been doing my research on the leaon & seem to be finding everone who owns a car built around the mk4 platform like the leaon mk4 , a4 etc say the rear handling is very very poor regardless of mods due to the rubbish solid beam axle set up , only the independant stuff is any good on the 4 motions etc in the mk4 & r32

im considering selling the car due to this or ripping the engine out & dropping it in a mk2 golf or jetta :) & busting teh rest of the car up

you may not be made of money, but ripping the engine out and fitting into a mk2 golf isnt really the cheap option mate.

just sharing my advice on what ive done... after all thats what you asked for

because everybodys made of money arent they?

the wife span my car the other day on a wet roundabout at 15mph (ish) fitted 4 new f1s same roundabout same weather no bother.i

ts cheap tyres that the problem not if spent money on cheap coilovers.ive had standard suspension for over 4years and the only time i had problems is when ive had any other tyre except f1s,even t-1r's it didnt like.

standard sizw cupra wheel aswell 205-55-16 with 35psi in alround.

agree on the cheap tyres but your running stock suspension, possibly better than cheap end aftermarket stuff. OP has stiffened the front but not touched the rear so may have an additional problem to the tyres.

Im on matching shocks and springs and rear ARB only and it handles well so it doesnt have to cost the earth.
