Drove from Ambleside to Keswick and back today and averaged 47mpg in eco mode, this kind of terrain really helps
But one of the best parts though is the looks, you know you have a keeper when you turn back to look everytime you park up!
2017 5dr DSG Cupra stage 1, kicking about the doors and my daily 10 mile commute, booting it whenever I can I'm averaging 24-30mpg! Did a run from Sunderland to Carlisle last week, sitting at 90-110mph most of the way there and back I hit 35mpg, which I couldnt believe, I was in a hurry and had no regard to my economy!
This week I again ran from Sunderland to Ambleside in eco mode and averaged 41mpg, on track to get 410 miles from this full tank! Drove from Ambleside to Keswick and back today and averaged 47mpg in eco mode, this kind of terrain really helps, think I rolled more than actually drove today! Lol
Cars hit 6k miles and the dash tells me I've averaged 29.7mpg since new!
Honestly I'm massively impressed with this car it just keeps on giving!
But one of the best parts though is the looks, you know you have a keeper when you turn back to look everytime you park up!

The value of the MK3 will drop off massively compared to the MK1 and MK2 just because there is a lot more of them on the road, especially 290/300 models due to the lease deals. especially when they have all returned from lease, market will be flooded.
When you coast (0% throttle) in ECO mode the DSG box disengages which allows lower revs 800-1000 rpm (low idle).Just got mine 2017 spec Cupra 300 DSG and already loving it. But just asking is there really benefit from Eco mode for the engine is you are trying to reach some-kind of fuel economy? If I understood correctly it just lows the revs?
Thanks for the info! When you coast (0% throttle) in ECO mode the DSG box disengages which allows lower revs 800-1000 rpm (low idle).
