Mornin....

Will any of the 6CD changers from VAG products work with the "Aura" head unit I have in my Leon?

They all appear to be the same physical size/shape Panasonic model... but have differing part No.s.
I think I need a link harness too? Is the link harness a Seat unit a specific connector/no of pins?

Has anybody put in a changer from Audi/VW/Skoda into their Leon without any compatibility problems? Any help would be greatly appreciated.:headhurt:

Funnily enough I've just bought a CD changer for my Leon, off Ebay, to fill the void in my glovebox, any hoo.....

I too had a bit of a mistery trying to find out any info, so I phoned SEAT who assured me the 1J6 035 111 one would work fine, as it's pretty much the same unit as the 1J6 057 111 which it states on the SEAT accessories pages.

So to answer your question pretty much as long as the block connector is there already you need to check which one it is but more than likely it's going to be the oblong one like this one: (see pic)

The part number is 1J6 035 111 for the 2004 model CD changer you see here, which is the one I got off Ebay, and it works just fine with my 2002 Leon Cupra.

The only difference i could see was there is a pale blue wire on the cd loom which isn't on the car side loom, I don't know what it's for but it doen't seem to have any Detrimental effects on the Aura head unit's control over the cd changer.

I cannot say for sure if there are any fuctions not working, as i don't have the CD changer handbook, but it all seems to do what it should..

Most VAG ones work mate, just check the block connection, should be ok with most, i've got a box at home with a brand new one, i'll check the boc but its got Skoda, SEAT, VW and Audi badges on it!
