Leon 2012 SuperCopa Carista Needle Sweep

As the title suggests i am after a needle sweep in my SuperCopa....having read lots of posts about Carista, some say it can be done on the 2011 models, but not the 2012!
I'm tempted to get the Carista App and an OBD2 Bluetooth reader to do it, but then don't want to be wasting my money.

So has anyone done this successfully? If so, which car? Year? Etc.

Ive done it with carista on a 2012 fr+ so it can be done. It cant be done on pre fl models but all fl's it can be done. Its well worth having as is very useful tool and more customisations are being added all the time

Thanks man that's exactly what i wanted to hear. Looking at a Bluetooth OBD2 on amazon for like £12.99 V1.5....that's the one right?

Also once you download Carista (for free) how much do you have to pay once using it? A one off fee? A fee every time you do a customization?

Wrong info mate kinda.

Yes on the facelift cars it works but not on the supercopa I know I tried to get it done on mine

Mines not a supercopa and 59 facelift FR and doesn't work on mine either

Well mine is defo done, I'll upload a video tomorrow if anyone's that bothered.

Oddly I couldn't do the mph mod though.

Using (as said) a cheap Chinese vcds. Running version 11.11 iirc.

The fact I couldn't get the large digital mph working despite following the guides to the letters put me off further mods, making me want a genuine vcds but alas cost outs me off. Really want to play with the brakes, traction all control etc.

You're a garage though, as an individual I think it is expensive (great however).

When a tool starts to cost that much most people will opt to use a dealer/garage. For dealer/garage the tool would get used enough to warranty investment.

But still , £260 isn't much if you want to save money from garages and retro fits

It's not should you have a requirement to use, for me I wanted to do 2 or 3 things, so a cheapo copy was worth the risk.

As my car ages I'll no doubt invest in one, especially if I can use it on a mk3.

Can you set the digital speedo on the MFD to mph with the Carista app? Car is a 59 plate (facelift)
