Heard back form a number of brokers today, all seem to pointing to SEAR no longer taking orders for new 290 Black's due to a new model in March. Hope this isn't the case as no doubt the cost of leasing will go up substantially on any such model...

That's what I was told. I was thinking of waiting but then thought nahhh, it surely won't be that different. I need a Cupra in my life asap.

got the same response from lings

Unfortunately we can't quote on the Seat Leon Cupra Black at the moment, as this model is due to undergo a facelift. I'm just checking now to see if there's a projected time scale for when we will be able to get the rate over to you.

then

The suppliers have just got back regarding time scale and at the moment they haven't been given any ideas or timescales as to when they will be able to quote.

You can't order a brand new Cupra 290 from factory anymore guys as they're releasing a Cupra 300 with the new face lift at some point next year. Source comes from me visiting Seat dealership the other day this week and the sales team telling me.

There was also a rumor that it was going to be manual only, although I take that with a pinch of salt.

I ordered from a Broker in August and haven't heard anything. I assume it is safe to assume its in the pipeline for manufacture but I'm getting a bit nervous now SEAT have pulled the plug.

Really thinking about jumping into a Golf GTI for a short-term bit of fun! Not exactly what I'm after but a lot of Car that they are practically giving away on 2 year lease's...

Placed an order last week on a 5 door Golf gti with dsg box. Sad to be saying goodbye to SEAT but at £235 a month (3+23) for 10k miles a year it was a no brainer for me.

Mine's £260 a month for 12k miles with a 6p a mile penalty for going over the 24k in two years. So that would be 6,000 x 6p = £360. That works out at £15 extra a month over the 24 months. So that means it would be £275 a month for the 15k a year miles.
