Leak finder kit

Hi!

Have anyone tried a leak finder kit with UV oil in to trace down the leaks?

Or is it just bullshit?

Btw. The mecanic that should have fixed my car is all booked, so now I'm just waiting for a phonecall.. So now I'm looking for alternatives...

Looks fair enough to me, can't see why it wouldn't work.

Yeah looks ok, the only thing I would say is that its maybe good for seeing the early stages of a leak, once its leaked everywhere youll be none the wiser and will need to wash it off and then monitor. I can see how it would be easier to spot once your monitoring it though. It looks like a similar idea to the UV dye we put in air con systems (i know that says it does air con too) its visible to the naked eye but once you shine that UV light and put the glasses on it stands out a mile.

Will try to get hold of it for the engine oil. Just seems like it's an US product that havent reach the UK or Denmark.

Yup, found it, but they only ship to UK
