Hi all,

Anyone in here running the Bilstein B14 PSS setup? How is the ride when just set as a stock lowered LCR?

I'm curious if the knob for the suspension softness really is needed, like on the Bilstein B16 PSS 9/10?

The PSS 9/10 is double the price of a b14 PSS!(

If your just wanting them for everyday road use then I'd say just stick with the B14 kit. The damping adjustment of the B16 kit is nice but also costly.

Well, I would use them for everyday use (90 km of motorway each day) - However, I'm interested in the ride quality? Would it be harsh?

Both Bilstein kits are a little harsher then other available on the market so it may be a better option to go for something like the H&R or KW comfort option coilover kits.

But how harsh compared to a LCR with H&R lowering kit? More/Less?

Btw. MOT does also play a big role, so TUV is a MUST.

All the big brand kits are TUV approved so that shouldn't be a problem.

The Bilstein won't be that much different to lowering springs on the standard LCR shocks but the H&R and KW comfort option coilovers will be more comfortable then the Bilstein coilovers but handling wise there's not many better then the Bilstein.

Hmm... If i dont really want to bother with the adujustable suspension, could there be just as good options out there? Just not adjustable??

Hmm...Then I might a well get my H&R spring? I think I'm a sucker for the B14/16, but it's really just a research for the april/march plans )

How are the KWs? I've heard much about them, but people always mentions the Bilsteins.
The KW seems only for them that really want to go low, which I'm not really after.

What the difference in the KW Line? Is the KW Variant 2 build to match the B16 PSS9/10?
And they arent monotube? Should I care?..lol

Yeah the V2 are basically KW's version of the B16.

The KW are Twintube. It depends how you want the car to handle, some people prefer monotube characteristics and some the twintube.

Mono tube dampers tends to react quicker and are more sensitive when driving, they also tend to be lighter then twin tube dampers. That said the KW dampers are very good quality for twin tube so not too different to the Bilstein mono tube quality.

Does anyone know whether bilstein supplies new stabilisers for the front? Or is this only needed if you go really low?

Do anyone know how the comfort is on the B14, compared to B16's "knob setting"?
Chances for I actually will use the knob on the B16 is very low, so if the B14 er fine on standard dampening, why bother?)
