hi all, please help before i prematurely lose my hair!

basically ive fitted my sony f7700 cd player into my lcr and the rears work fine inc the tweeters. however in the front the left side woofer works but not the tweeter, but on the drivers side its the other way round.

ive bought a new iso lead and no change.

to some this may be a small issue but im a bit of an audiophile within the home so i must get this sorted in the car!

any help would be sweet,

ta

sounds as if the iso lead on the stereo is dodgy. are all the pins securely plugged in.
did they work fine before you put your new stereo in.

yeah cable wise everything is a snug fit, ive been told by my local bass junkies in derby that the tweeters run off the main driver, exactly same as golf and a3, so by that measure the tweeter shouldnt be working- but it is!

Im wondering wether to take the door cards off and see if the cable has unattached itself. what you think?

if its the original cable built into the car thats the prob how do i get to it to change it?

cheers

did they work ok with your original stereo or have they been gone a while.
i changed my stereo for an alipne one and all the speakers worked fine. so im not sure what he means by the drivers.

if the wires have gone then you may need a wiring diagram to follow then back. that would be the last thing to do though. i think its the wiring on the stereo/iso lead they maybe wired incorrectly as one is working on one side and the opposit on the other.

drivers are the main speakers in the doors, the tweeters run off these.

if you have sound from your tweeter but not the woofer then either the lead has come unplugged from the main door speaker or the speaker is kaput (sp?)
if it was a wiring issue anywhere else along the line the tweeter wouldnt work either as this is connected to the system from the main speaker

ive found a very very local auto electrician who lives on my street, hes coming to have a look for me free of charge! says as soon as he looks at wiring he will no the problem and as long as its not a difficult fix i should be able to sort it myself.
