N00b question but what do these correction factors actually mean?

I'm assuming it's fuel correction i.e. trimming fuel as it can't supply enough air to match the demand?

Never had a problem with just using them outta the packet as they are, and the majority of the time i had 0 cf's, 1 at the most. Personally i wouldn't think it would make that much of a difference as there a cooler plug, thats the point in getting them as they are

Your both running small intercoolers really, maybe thats the cause of the cf's rather than the plugs?

Yeah curzon but you told me after fitting that cooler pipe work and A&M cooler yours went so much better...

You felt how hot my Charge pipe and Inlet mani was lol

Yeh exactly, i had high CF's which was my main reason for binning the laguna setup, the plugs run fine, there cooler which was why i recommended them to you. As soon as i got the AM cooler and pipework on the CF's dropped and the car ran and pulled miles better, i never changed the type of plugs or re-gapped them, as i never saw it as an issue

The Laguna had no cooling issues, it was the flow, more than likely down to the charge pipe, as its restrictive

Yeah the Stock charge pipe is 50mm ID which is tiny and all my other pipe work is 68mm....

Think im going to get a LCR/TT charge pipe then do some measuring ect and get a bend made up and use some couplers to join them all in 68mm...

That was why i first looked into changing coolers, as it was the only difference between mine and Dave's car. I then thought about the pipework and thought its pointless uprating it to the standard charge pipe and leaving that as it is, so thats when i looked into TT/LCR setup but then Dave asked me if i wanted to buy his, so it made sense for me

If you can get a TT/LCR charge pipe cheap then that seems a good option

BTW mate, Metro salvage in Bolton seem have TT's in quite a lot so may be worth looking there and i got my washer bottle there from a MK4 Golf for like a fiver!

Yeah i know what you mean i had it off before and its tiny really tiny....

if i uprate the outlet (Chargepipe) to a LCR one which is 68mm then all way down to my FMIC as i already have the 68mm on the TB side..

Well its 63mm on the TB side as the TB itself is only 63mm
Didn't think an LCR charge pipe was 68mm, would of said 57-63mm myself, sure it was slightly smaller than the AM pipework (63mm all the way through)

But just binning the standard charge pipe should make a difference, as like you say your TB pipework should be fine

seems the LCr charge pipe work is 55mm or so...and yours was 68mm werent it

Where does the LCR/TT charge pipe end, I know it must end at the IC but where are they mounted on the LCR. Im asking because i have the Universal IC so want to know what other pipework i would need to match them both.

Tiz, the LCR has 2 intercooler. One on the left kind of behind headlight and one on the right practically same place.

The LCR charge pipe runs to just next to you inlet manifold, where you will need to connect it to downwards to your IC with extra pipework.

I have a question concerning this change as well:

I am bidding on one at the moment, but read that you have to remove the big muffler on the end behind rocker cover, and weld up a bend on it to meet the turbo. Is this true? If so can anyone shed some more light on that?

Edit:
I am talking about the 'muffler' at the top of this pic

So how did you guys that have done this, meet the pipe onto the turbo? Weld a bend on it or use silicone or...?

Btw I have a silenced K03s, then with this silencer what will get quieted down? my spool up?

yeah that's what i was thinking, but if I look at the length of the LRC pipe, then you'll need a relatively long bend to reach the turbo, and seeing as usual bends aren't very long how do you solve that? connectors and straight bits?
