LC or LCR... That is the question!

Well James what did you think of the Cupra? :D

Immense! [B)] For a front wheel drive car it pulls like a train! :) I could only compare it to 'a milder form of my friends Evo 3'.... and that's not a bad thing!

It's a great car undoubtedly Adam, thanks again for the spin! I've been toying with the idea of buying a certain 'pre-modded' LC all afternoon but i just can't shake the 'wanting to start from scratch' thing......

Still, i think at the end of the day i will be going for the subtle modifications to an LC instead of an LCR for 3 main reasons.....

1. The LCR is at the very limit of my price range leaving no error for judgement if something goes wrong with it....
2. I'm moving to Bristol in a few months and my 'car-fund' may now have to be split to fund this.... and ...
3. At the end of the day, as much as i would love an LCR 210/225, i'm really coming to like the look of the facelft LC......

Beck's, in answer to your question i would probably say not really. Your car is what you make it at the end of the day, if modded right the only thing i would say in that situation is 'my car is unique, you may have more power than me but i don't mind'. :)

I think at this time in my life the LC is the all round better option. Cheaper to buy, to insure, and i would imagine 'part's-wise' to run, yet still as fun as an LCR. If i still have the urge for an LCR in a year i could always trade it in against one.

We shall see what i get next weekend! :)

Thanks again for all your help and advice. I didn't mean to start an LC/LCR war....

hi mate,

ive just upgraded from an LC180 to a Cupra R and i aint looked back since! drives alot better imo, and tbh, im finding it as good on juice! But the power is in a different league. Pulls like a train and honestly, if id have known the LCR's were that good, i would have saved up and been patient than rush in and get an LC :) Although the LC180 has potential too but again, where do you want to spend your money! Either way they are gonna be a Leon so you got a great car allround really :p

No problem at all mate.

What your saying is true but would cost a fortune in the long run to buy it standard and then start modding, there are a few out there with good mods already done and prob withing your budget........its just finding one thats been well looked after and your happy with :)
