Evening all,
I have posted before about clutch problems but need another opinion on it.
I have an LC 62k miles on a Y plate. Before I thought I was having clutch problems as in it slipping when flooring but it doesn't do the usual rev spike then drop off which is the norm when your clutch is about to give up the ghost.
With mine is that I put the car into second after giving first a bit of welly (not from standing start) and the revs seem to stick at around 4k rpm. At the same time the accelerator is about half pressed in. After taking my foot off the loud pedal and back on it will pull fine.
Have had the problem mostly in 4th but happened in 2nd, 3rd and 4th the other week when booting it. Doesn't do it all the time, won't do it driving normally only when changing gear a bit quick I suppose.
Have tested the clutch and it's ok, I'm thinking along the lines of clutch master/slave cylinder. Although if someone could tell me if the clutch is hydraulic or cable operated.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Cheers
