It's apparently 50/50 but more common to come on in the facelift models. Thought it was going to stay off then popped on as soon as the mrs got in (she's obviously got bad karma!)

Tell her to get oot!! Is there not a way you can remove the light with vagcom? I find it really annoying having a light on on the dash - distracting!

Have you blocked off the vac hose?
I'd have been quite confident you'd get an eml tbh.
Get a Bluetooth dongle and clear fault codes with your phone

Not blanked the vac line yet, mechanic just told me to do it next time I've got a mo, do I blank the asv line as well? And I don't think they do a dongle set up for the iPhone yet which sucks!

And Ross, doesn't really bother me, I've got the ESP off whenever the roads are dry so it's not much different to that

You should blank off both lines ASAP. The light might go off then

Both hoses are now blanked off, fingers crossed the light goes out

Reviews I have read so far are pretty positive so hopefully they'll be ok. They're second hand so in need of a good wet and dry to freshen them up! According to the previous owner theyve never had any problems, leaks or squeaks. And at £200 I ain't complaining

Yeah the reviews i've read have been good. Just sometimes people standards aren't anywhere near like mine ha ha!!

So went to pick up the weitecs and they'd went and sold them to some one else!! Already had self mentally set for them so just ordered a new set of JOM bluelines. Online reviews seem good and m mate had them in his polo gti and raves about them so I guess they'll do

you went for weitecs and ended up with JOM, thats a fair compromise in my opinion

Was only going or the weitecs second hand and they were going cheap, JOM seem to have the best reviews in the price range and they can never be much worse than the standard Cupra set up
