I neva knew that:eek:! I didn't think you could lose power with a custom system. Fair bit cheaper than a miltek system tho

You wont really loose power. Your obviously going to if its of poor construction, or if the exhaust is massive.

But you wouldnt go somewhere that had poor reviews anyway.

I think cleaning the manifold made the biggest difference, there was at least 15mm of carbon deposit built up in it lol. Only thing that worries me now is with the ASV gone the engine rocks a lot more when turning off the key. Fingers crossed I won't do damage in the long run!

Just waiting on a 65mm elbow. Plan is to fit that, connect the boost gauge into the delete pipe then get the polishing kit out and sand back and shine up the boost pipe :)

How do you go about cleaning the manifold? My mpg is dire just now so looking at ways to sort it.

You can either take off the egr valve and clean it an the entrance o the manifold while it's still attached (just be careful not to let any debris fall in). Or remove the manifold completely, I believe the guy that fitted mine sprayed a load of carbon cleaner inside and fired a power hose through it to blast it all out. Just wish he'd given the outside a good scrub lol.
