Ok not looking good! Sealed the end tanks and cleaned it all up, took it out a blast and it's pished oil everywhere again!! Looks like its coming out the back in various places so its definitely getting replaced and binned! Olso slightly more worryingly the oil on the intercooler smells of diesel :'(

Yeah had some lengthy conversations with family/bird etc and I'm just going to fix it as good as I can and trade it in, fed up throwing all this money at it and having nothing to show for it so I'm going to start looking at the new shape Cupra/FR. Quite fancy something DSG and in warranty lol. Updates surely to come!

It's the metallic blue, 11 plate and it's only done 3000 miles my gran left me some money when she died recently and I've now spent all my own money repairing it and I couldn't bare to pump my inheritance into repairing a car that will no doubt break down again so a new car is the only way I can think of sensibly spending the cash.

As for the milltek my birds got first refusal on it for her FR as I'll be needin a standard exhaust to put back on anyway, of she decides she doesn't want it then tazb is next in line I'm afraid dude

Lol i'm not surprised. I would of got the same if I could afford it, but my SC Sport is fine for me.

Still to check the previous owners etc but I think it might be an ex demonstrator, it's coming up from Newcastle on Wednesday so hopefully it will be with me by a week on Monday/Tuesday

theyre JOMs dude, dont know if ill be able to get them off in time though so imn most likely just winding them up and leaving them on. not wanting to throw any money at it except for getting the egr ack on and the exhaust sorted. as it stands now the strut brace is gone, rarb is gone, exhaust is provisionally gone, still got the egr delete but that might go on her FR as well.

just want this one gone tbh, an 11 plate car with 3300 miles on it is far more appealing to me than a 56 plate with 60000 on it that keeps brakeing down and is like driving a rattly shed on wheels lol

the missus has already named it brat because apparently thats what im being by just binning the mk4 lol

Shame your getting rid Lawrie.. Although I understand why with the problems you're having. Lovely replacement though.. Bet you can't wait to get it! I thought you might have got a Renault at first when you said you were trading in.. Just because when I got mine you said you loved them!
