When I done mine and my dads it said workshop code and it suggested 12345 I hit ok then had to hit ok again then it said code accepted.
As the previous post your units menu has 4 or 5 options for km and mph etc then go into mfd data and tick digital speed and untick the alternative speed and all works spot on.

It did that on mine too. How long did it take to accept the code after that?

My code is still set as it was previously for now. Will have another crack at it later though.

haha!!

Al, try downloading the latest "beta" I think it's 11. something.

Certain things on my Leon only show up in the beta and other things only show up in 10.6.

It only took a couple of seconds mate.

OK, I just did mine, and I can't find where on the menu this large mph display is available though. Swapped back to UK, then back to ROW, went through all the menus and I have no large speed readout in MPH. When the alternative reading is selected, I see km/h in the same place as previously however though.

Its not normal that I miss something on VAGCOM, but either my car is different or I screwed up. Guessing its the latter though.

You have to enable the large display in the main menu too it seems :)

I will have a look at doing Dav's pre-fl car if he is keen and let you know.

Just get one off dhgate that's what I did for less than £20. If you get version 10.6.# it will work with facelift Leon's and ideal to have if you have a problem.

Would this cable be fine for a MY10 Facelift?
edit - Took out link, tons in the cable thread I should have looked at.

Looking at sorting this on mine as soon as I dig out my cable!

Out of interest has anybody tried engaging cruise control whilst the large speed readout is displayed?

My mates Scirocco displays the speed the cruise has been set at where the temperature is at the bottom when engaged and I was wondering if this did the same, or if more fiddling will be required?

I have used cruise on mine but the display stays the same so temp stays at the bottom.

Cheers, was just a thought :)

I'm still surprised by the amount of different MFD configurations you see between different varients of essentially the same VAG cars. Considering how closely related the Leon and Golf are there are a lot of pretty average features that you don't get on the SEAT side (nothing new there!).

I saw an MFD picture on a VW forum from a Golf MKVI GTD and there was an option to switch the DRLs on and off, for example.

You have the switch DRL's on and off option on the Leon too, as standard.

You can turn your drls on or off by turning the indicator on left or right and hold the headlamp stalk to flash and turn the ignition on. One way turns them on and the other off.
Theres lots of little things its just finding them out:confused:
