Known Issues?

I have an ibiza SC 1.4 sport, and it has been riddled with problems from day 1. So much so that i am now sick of it, and looking to get a leon. Going to order SE 1.9TDI with Tech Pack, convenience pack and leather interior.

Are their and known issues, or any horror stories of the leon?

Dont want to be stuck with the same problems as my ibiza.

what problems are you getting on the beeza?

Most of the leons on here are pretty reliable. You'll always have the odd horror story with any car, be it a BMW or even Lexus for that matter.

You looking for a facelift or pre-facelift leon?

the ibiza first had a fault with the folding morrors, then the windows, then the central locking, then they replaced the wiring harness in the driver side door. Now the lock on the outside of the door isnt working.... Only had the car for 7 months.

have you thought about the 1.4 TSI? It's fairly economical, very tuneable and you get a 6-speed box.

If your not doing uber mileage with your car, the 1.4 TSI is well worth a look.

PS. it's also about £400-500 cheaper than 1.9tdi

Personally I'd wait for the 1.6 CR TDi or else the 1.4 TSi. The old 1.9 is a good unit but it's long in the tooth now
