Hi everyone
I'm new here and would really appreciate any advice on how to open 04 seat leon with keys locked inside. Keys left in drivers door pocket and car locked itself. Don't have any spare key.

hey there i have copied and pasted this from a website, its for a 2006 seat but will be the same......

You can use another option whether the lock of your car is an automatic:

Two solid plastic wedges

A heavy gauge wire or coat hanger

A rubber tip of the wire or a rubber band

Using these materials and follow these steps in opening your 2006 Seat Leon Cupra:

Slide wedge into the gap on your car’s door.

Pry the car’s door slightly in order to budge simply the additional wedge in. So this way will create a gap between your body and the door.

If you open the door, straighten the coat hanger, and then slip it in. That you can get the “unlock button”. It is often placed underneath the car’s window.

You need to press the lock button and the automobile door can be unlocked when you place the coat hanger.

hope this helps and good luck.......

Breakdown people may be able to force the to of the door open enough to pull the door release.

I'm also going to assume that the interior lights don't come on when you open the door, you need to fix that before you do this again as it's not detecting the door opening and autolocked the doors.

Thanks everyone, just got it sorted with breakdown assist. He hooked the keys out from the pocket of drivers door. Only have the car with two weeks and also just noticed two other problems.

A lot of water in drivers side rear foot well and also some (not as bad) in front driver side.

Digital display of milage is showing with half the digits missing (like half a number 5 with bottom half blank)

Glad you've got them out. As said above the door is not registering that it's been opened so the car will autolock again after 30secs without being started.

Water in footwells will almost certainly be the door seal leaking and you will need to reseal them with butyl rubber, post number 654 halfway down this page is a great guide. http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?p=3255713#post3255713

Dash binacle is difficult to replace as it contains the immobiliser and needs to be matched to the ecu, so can't just be swapped for another unit. There are companies that you can send it too and they will replace the screen, but obviously you'd be without the car for a while when it's away being done.

Any good guides on replacing the mechanism? I had to give up half way through due to the weather earlier today, but couldn't get the green and black locking mechanism out of the door despite removing the two spline bolts. Not sure how it's connected to the lock barrel or outer handle?
