Hi Guys

I am going to ask this question but i think it may not be possible for anyone on here to answer, so please prove me wrong.

Has any got the circuit diagram for the central locking PCB (circuit board) in the key fob.

thanks

Hi Viking, i have a problem with my flip key, the range of the remote central locking has dropped to about 2 feet (was over 10 meters last week)
So took it to the local dealer and he changed the battery still no good, didn't think it would cure it for one minute as the LED was still shinning very bright.

He told me he would have to get the car booked in, but no space in his dairy until 1st November, and if i wanted a courtesy car the earliest appoint would be Nov. 17th.

As i'm an electronic engineer thought i would take a look at the fob myself, sure enough found the fault, there is a surface mount capacitor on the PCB which has come off (probably now on the dealer floor) all i need is the correct value and i can fit it myself (have a stores with over 10,000 components here in work so will have the right value i'm sure)

Thats why i want to see if anyone has the circuit diagram
LOL

Cheers for looking mate

Sure that would do it, probably cost me about £15.00 but if someone had the info i could fix it here and now for nothing.

Thanks

There's no F in Quality..
Dai, sounds like we work for very similair companies (if not competitors!)

Was going to ask if you had the 'old' component, but then re-read your post and realised it's missing.

If you can take a pic of the Cct and email it to me, I might be able to get one of the tech's here to measure the component on the Cct in my key.

Andy you are a star mate

From your picture worked out the brown capacitor next it to measured 47nF, found one and fitted it.

The green device is an inductor; this was a little tricky as you can’t really measure an inductor that easy with the right kit, so took a punt on a 100mH device

Just tried it in the car park and back up to 15meter plus again

Cheers mukka

Typical..... took my key apart to get the info the Dai was after, then put it all back together again....

Walked out to the car after work, tried the key as normal to unlock fully expecting it not to work as it hasn't done for the last month or more, only to find it worked

So, thanks to Dai's request, we've now both got working keys
