Well I'm going to try my best to not let that happen. They were a gift, so would be rude not to use them!

Decided to try something Iv never done before earlier, Carbon Fibre Wrapping. The outer ring on my Gearknob needed painting, but since I had Carbon Fibre left over from getting my door strips done, decided to try it and see how it looked. Still not 100% sure, but think it might grow on me.

Here's the Gearknob Before

So removed the Centre Cap and Ring. Very easy if you have long nails like me!

Then gave the ring a small sand down, didn't need much at all.

Nothing left but to crack on with the wrapping!

Here's the finished Gearknob.

Any opinions appreciated, as Im still not 100% sure if this is a hit or a miss. It does look better in person though!
