Hey guys..

Just had my k03s hybrid today with k04 internals ect... now iirc ive read some where that this hybrid wont fit the Forge silicone t.i.p ( Ibiza fitment ) and also read that i does fit the t.i.p and i can use the 70-80mm reducer to connect my ibiza t.i.p to the 3" maf, can anyone confirm this which one is correct of if both are correct as i have already got the reducers ect... Thanks :)

If the external size of the inlet is the same as a k03s then an uprated silicone tip such as forge should fit. The standard 1/2 metal 1/2 rubber k03 tip will not fit. 3inch maf tube if you are using one will either need a reducer from it to the tip or the tip modifying to fit.

CR turbos hybrid? If so its the LCR tip that you want.

Off topic - Out of interest anybody know what other tips can be used that are k04 fitment as the LCR tip sits right up near the strut brace and looks really untidy IMO.

ATP do the large tip which sits quite low where it connects to the air filter

I believe this is the same as the LCR tip (this is a metal tip as well)

I would get a pic for you now, but the car is in the garage in pieces:cry:

What do cr turbos do to the turbo to make the housing with the inlet bigger then? I would imagine all k04 silicome tips have a similar shape and wont be too different.

i'v e been informed by a garage that sells hybrids, that you dont need the bigger tip to fit the turbo, just need reducer to fit the maf

The ibiza TIP will fit the turbo end but its just a little to small for the maf end, if you do what i did and just cut a little out of the middle of the pipe maf will go in fine, save you a packet

yeah, when you look at the pipe so all you can see is the inside you can cut abit of the middle out because the pipe is so thick, so you just thin it about alittle it take 2mins and works fine

CR turbos replace the outer casing from a k04 unit hence having to use a k04 tip.

There are other hybrid manufacturers that just machine out the k03/s turbine housing meaning that you can carry on using your forge/samco tip.

This should make things a little clearer of what i have tryed to say, assuming that M47ner is go for the same spec.

''Mark says'' I would plan to use the shaft, CHRA, and comp wheel from the Audi RS6 turbo, this gives us the largest combination of wheels in the K04 range, we then machine out your Turbine housing to make the shaft fit, we take the comp cover from a larger turbo eg Audi TT then weld the elbow from yours on to it so the actuator fits and to keep the turbo pipework fitting as original.

Could very well be this... does any1 know the size of the tip that goes over the turbo in mm?

o rite sory benny i didnt no they made them different like that, im running a hybrid from turbo dynamics thats why it would be different to mine because i can run the ibiza tip, looks like you have to run a LCR/TT TIP matner then
