bringing this thread back from the dead

currently in the process of fitting my k03s and a few other bits, tonight i've removed the k03 and found it's starting to go the same way as the old one did!!

anybody have any idea what could be causing this as it's only done about 4k since i changed it and i certainly don't want to be getting the s rebuilt in a few thousand miles

any help or advise apreciated

true but was a good condition unit with minimal play and all looked okay when inspected

just wondering if there's something else on the car that could be causing this to happen ??

What boost were you running the ko3 at ? They don't really like more than 15psi for any length of time. The ko3s at 20psi is pretty much its limit even thats pushing it.

mine was spiking around 20 psi and holding 14-15 psi

think it's more due to crap entering the turbo than boost it was running, will be checking the new one more frequently just to make sure

If it were running too hot, the turbine blade tips might melt. As your prob seems to be compressor side I would indeed suspect a foreign body entering the inlet.
