Just got myself a leon fr 2.0 tdi 170bhp(2011)

Hi all jist got myself a leon fr diesel 170bhp, love the car but jidt wanted to know for the future what is the most power anyone has got out of 1 of these? I was hoping maybe 240-250bhp if that is possible? And where is the best place to have them re-mapped? Id love to see everyone elses and ill post pics of mine tmz! Thanks ryan

I've heard losing the dpf will get you close to 190 bhp, probably a bigger percentage gain in torque

Though you might shorten the clutch's life, and that would be pricey to replace (especially a dual mass one)

What bhp should i expect if i do the following to my 2012 Leon Supercopa tdi?
DPF delete downpipe.
EGR delete.
Backbox gutted.
Inlet manifold cleaned out.
Remapped.

I hope i'll get at least 225bhp on standard turbo with all the above work done..
What else can i do to increase power on standard turbo?

Aye i heard 230bhp was the turbo limit.
Is it worth getting a 4 bar MAP sensor or removing swirl flaps?

Turbochargers are very inefficient operating at close to or at their physical limits and produce far too much heat.

For anything more than 215-220 sort of range you really want to be getting a bigger turbo.

Speak to Darkside Developments. They're on the pricey side of things but there aren't many other turners that know VAG diesel engines as well as they do.

Aye they are very dear alright, but they certainly know their stuff.
What about if i fitted a 17/56 turbo, would i be looking at 255bhp & needing a new clutch & FMIC?

Yea for sure.

You've gotta weigh up the costs, you'll be thousands of pounds into it, which raises the question could you not just spend that money and get a faster car to begin with?

Well no cause i dont want a petrol car & like tuning up diesels lol (i love the torque too that petrol yokes dont have unless they are about 500bhp).
I'll stick with the 225bhp on standard turbo & see how i get on sure.
