Test drove, liked, got good deal, delivery June / July.
1.9TDI Stylance with sunroof, 17" alloys, convenience pack, armrest and oval exhaust trim in emocion red.
As per my previous post, already drove a Golf. I cant believe having driven both cars that any sane person would choose a Golf over a Leon.
The 1.9tdi engine in the Golf is far noisier and far rougher. The driving postion is inferior in the golf, you get less kit but pay substantially more, the styling is mundane (my opinion) and it just doesnt feel as individual.
I have to say I was impressed with the Leon, the only thing I noticed was a fair amount of road noise on rough sufaces. If this becomes an issue then I will look at getting some dynamat. Even £250 invested in doing that still makes it great value.
I will be adding an aftermarket satnav with bluetooth so decided against the bluetooth option.
I am pondering the satnav docking station but have noticed that Halfrauds do an 'integrated' installation that hides all the wires, doesnt use the 12 volt supply and does not involve drilling holes in the car. Anyone had this done by them? Cant decide the best way to go with it at present.
