Right, i was out doing some logging with a mate tonight finished the run in 4th and splipped it into 5th then came off the loud pedel and after a minute or so or with road bumps it jumps out of gear but its fine when there is any pressure on the pedel?

Any body have any ideas what it could be or what i could check? My box has only coverd 42k but im not ruling out a new box :( im hoping possibly it could be clutch related as a worst case scenario.

when the engines cold, give it a good wiggle :)

look at the gearbox 'bolt' to see if it's securely bolted (or there) onto the mount

look right at the back right side of the engine bay to see if the bolt into the subframe is there (that's what went on mine)

otherwise look for holes where bolts once were

Okie dokie, i`ll check when i get in from working tomorrow.

Would this cause it to only jump out in 5th of would it do it in other gears to.

When yours went was it only 5th it would jump out on?

it'd probably do it in other gears too - but it depends on how much the engine moves

then again, the cables might be in the wrong position in 5th & all the other gears it doesn't affect it

just had a quick look with a torch lol, i assume im looking at the correct bit basicly sits above the axel where the rubber boot is and has a bolt securing it down and then 2 bolts to the left of it which looks to go inwards towards the engine?

If so the 3 bolts are still there havent been able to check the tightness tho but they dont look loose.

Sorry for the bad explanation.

If there not loose anybody have any other ideas of what it could be.

I have to see the chap at the garage on friday so will get him to have a look while im there if i havent sorted it already.

Could this be symptoms of the clutch/box on its way out?

Syupposed to be heading down to the powerstation RR day saturday, would it be advisable not to run?

could it be possible that any of the other mounts had gone causing it to slip out?

If so where would i find these:redface:

front engine mount is predictably 'at the front' in the middle

rear engine mount is underneath the brake servo, but further down

Ok cheers ill check tomorrow would either of the other mounts failing cause it to jump out.

Knowing my luck its the bloody box! Not a single problem (that wasnt self inflicted)in almost 2 years and its bound to be somthing expensive.

Still waiting for funds to allow before i can get a set of uprated engine mounts to rule that out, now ive been told that it could possibly be the rubber cup links? Anybody know where abouts they are and how i would go about checking them? Also could this be a possible solution to my problem?
