Been having a good look at other RR threads so thought I might as well make one of these!
Well, I turned 17 in June 2010, started driving lessons etc, and started to look for a car. I was originally planning on buying a Corsa C (even signed up to CCUK in anticipation of buying a Corsa) but thankfully that never happened! :D
In September I found a 1.2 SX Ibiza (Black, 54k mileage, decent spec) at a local Vauxhall ( ) dealers and I had to buy it!
Passed my test in January with only 1 minor, so the Ibiza didnt get much driving until then, apart from the odd spin with the L plates up :p

So, then the modding began :funk:
Nothing too expensive happened to begin with due me still being at school but I think the small mods make the car look a lot better than standard.

Dealers picture of it standard:

First mods were de-badging, Bosch flat blade wipers and polo rear wiper (got it for free from a mate who de-wipered his polo :))

Then Team Heko wind deflectors:

A lot of condensation in the headlights there, but I sorted that by drilling a few holes in the back covers.

And my favourite mod (and most expensive :() - Mirror Polished TT Comps!!

I also painted the calipers red and drums black shortly after getting the TT Comps as you can see in these pictures I took of my Ibiza and my brothers MK4 Golf GT TDI.
DSC00673.jpg

DSC00665.jpg

Such a difference in height there with his being lowered on coilovers and mine on the standard suspension!
I also wrapped the front and rear S badges in carbon vinyl but took it off the rear - made it look like a smoothed boot from a distance which I don't like.

So thats all I've done so far to the Ibiza. Sorry about the poor quality of the pics, they were taken on a Sony Ericsson camera phone lol.

Possible future mods:
Exterior:
Gloss black vinyl B pillars
HID's DONE
Cupra Spoiler
Pre-facelift FR rear valance
Light/medium tint rear 3 windows
FR or Custom backbox

Interior:
TT pedals DONE
Upgrade Headunit
Might spray the gear surround and vent surrounds red DONE

Not much of an update but I'll put it up anyway...
Bought some Cupra gloss black mirror caps, Cupra handbrake cover & red vent levers off David @ Sere and a red stitch gear stick gaiter off topgaiters on eBay a while ago.
Got them all fitted a few days ago, I think it brightens the interior up a bit with the red bits and the mirror caps look far better than the standard textured plastic ones. Heres some pictures:

Bit of an update here. Sold the TT Comps last night, had got a bit bored of them and sick of having to clean them pretty often because of the mirror polished faces.

So I found these on ebay and bought them. Haven't got them yet though, need to arrange a courier to deliver them to me from England.
006-13.jpg

BBS RX's (228) 7.5j x 17" ET35

They need two tyres which isn't ideal, but they're quite rare in this size and are in good condition so I decided to buy them. They won't be on the car for a while though because I need to save up for the tyres.

Plans for them are to get the lips polished on them and possibly a change of colour to a darker silver/grey, but that'll not be for a couple months. And I'll probably get some carbon centre caps for them too.

Also fitted H4 5000k HID's and LED sidelights a while back, and got Audi TT foot pedals
DSC00845.jpg

And I bought a pre-facelift FR rear valance which has a cut out for an exhaust tip. So I might get it and the side rub strips colour coded and get a custom backbox or exhaust tip.

Then for my birthday I got a personalised registration, so I'm waiting on that going through the whole long process of registering it. And then once that's done, I'll get pressed plates and get the new reg put on.
So quite a lot of progress recently and the bank balance is suffering because of it lol

Looking good JonnyH10, some very similar mods to mine!

Bet you are tempted to get HIDs for your fogs now also aren't you? Just so it matches :p

Thought about a LCR splitter?

Thanks wrayvon! :)

I've never actually thought about HID's in the fogs. I actually like the yellow fogs, was even considering putting yellow lamin-x on them.

Yea I did, but I don't think it suits the pre facelift bumper tbh. I'm happy enough with the front end now, just need a backbox/exhaust tip now for the rear to complete it too.

Haha must be just me then, I don't get the whole yellow fogs thing, maybe I'm weird!

Yeah I know what you mean, I'm still waiting to see a black one with pre facelift bumpers and a splitter. Not sure whether to take the plunge or not.

You planning a new rear valance then to get a new tip?

Yea I've got a pre-facelift FR rear valance sitting in my room here, was going to get it colour coded but I have no money now after buying new wheels. So I'll probably just put it on when I get a tip/backbox and then get it painted when I have the money.

Will be intrigued to know where you get your tip from (or backbox if thats what you get) as I am considering this also!

Looking forward to the pics :)

Well I got the wheels on today. Pretty happy with them, could do with a refurb to make them perfect but that'll not be for a while yet! Really needs dropped now though! :)

Heres some pics, please excuse the lack of tyre shine :D

Well its been a long time since the last update! Not much has changed yet. Here's the latest...

Got a facelift FR/Cupra rear bumper a while back which will be put on some time in the next month or two. And I also got a Cupra spoiler which needs painted or vinyl wrapped before its put on.

Front bumper - Been on the look out for a facelift FR or Cupra front bumper to match the rear bumper. Think I've sourced one in black so hopefully I can get it bought and fitted along with the rear.

Wheels - I'm considering buying a set of 17" Leon Cupra 'Starfish' wheels to run during winter and when the BBS wheels are getting refurbed, instead of the standard 15's.

Coilovers - Waiting on a mate to get his air-ride in his Polo, so I can get the coilover's out of it. Hopefully that'll happen soon!

Other plans:

- Suede headliner and pillars (and probably spray other bits black to match)
- Custom back-box or tip to fill the hole in the new rear bumper. Going to go for a twin tip like on the FR.
- 20/25mm spacers for the rear
- Refurb BBS wheels. Not sure on a colour yet, was thinking grey spokes with a polished lip, or just silver again with polished lip.
- Would love to change the seats to MK4 Golf Recaro's but apparently it would be too much work to make them fit. Could go for seats out of the new shape Ibiza or MK5 Golf though, but I doubt it'll happen this year.

And here's some ideas of what colour I could get the wheels refurbed:

Really don't know what to go for, but I like the look of the light grey spokes with polished lip.
Thanks to Jordanwaterhous for doing the photoshop's! ;)

Got a Facelift FR/Cupra rear bumper and facelift front bumper. Big improvement on the pre-facelift bumpers imo. Few pictures below:

Need to get an exhaust tip or FR back box sorted now to fill the cut-out in the rear bumper, and I'm also on the look-out for a pair of facelift front fogs, because the pre-facelift ones don't fit.

I'll hopefully put the BBS wheels back on at the weekend. And the next things to be done are coilovers and Cupra spoiler. Have the spoiler, just need to get it painted, and I'll be getting coilovers in a couple of weeks time.

Thanks for looking,
Jonny

Thanks mate! :D I'm going to get facelift fogs if I can find a pair second hand, but I won't be getting the twin reflector headlights. Couldn't be bothered with the wiring and all that lol. Probs only keep the car for another year anyway, then it'll be time for a Ibiza FR or Fiesta ST! :)
