Cheap and nasty, and not as good as standard shocks and springs.

Feedback suggests otherwise, bound to be not everybody's cup of tea,i think they'll be fine for road use,if i were using it on track & ragged it i would go for something better

Have had the jom's on for 10 months now with no problems but have just noticed there is a knock on bad bumps,i've recently done polybushed wishbones,25mm eibach arb with polybushes, new drop links, new balljoints & trackrod ends.New top mounts & bearing were fitted when Joms were fitted.

Have been told that the shocks can be seporated from the struts & that its can come loose & develop a knock

Has anyone else had this & cured it ?

A few other forums I'm on, people have been saying they're great for the money. I was looking at getting a set but I've decided to sell the TDi and get a Cupra so it's on hold for now.

I asked around on various forums and most people said they're worth it. Best review I got was a guy with a Scirocco who regularly smashes it around in fields and on dirt tracks and after a year of heavy abuse they're still fine.

I too am concerned about how cheap they are, but with so many good reviews I'd go for it!

I guess also if they turn out to be not great you haven't lost too much.

I've had mine on for coming up a year.

The rear shocks had some surface rust on them so I rubbed them down and painted them in wrinkle black last week, the fonts are in good condition still and I can adjust them (with the crap spanner) whenever and easy as they havnt rusted up.

Quality and feel of the materials used I always thought was abit yucky, they do lack quality there is no doubting that but they are more than adequate.

Ride wise, when I was low low they where bouncy due to loosing spring preload, it was low and slow.
The car is still quite low but its a much more realistic driving height and it rides really nice. A firm lowered feel and it handles well when you poke it with a stick or "fist it". I wish I did have 700 quid to spend on coilovers but for 163quid I'm more than happy with these, they have caused me no problems.

Id say they are more than adequate for road use, id like brand name one's but don't want to pay brand name tax. also another point is having a 2/5k Leon and spending 700 on covers when my 163quid ones are doing there job.

Mines not a 2k Leon by the way ;-)
