been looking into getting a cone filter these seem to be the best ones are they hard to fit ? and what would i need to fit it ? is it a case of removing the airbox and clamping this one in place ? has anyone had any problems with them ?

i have searched jetex cone filter guide couldent find anything.

Piece of piss to fit, really is easy. Take old airbox off, fit this in its place. Can either bolt stright to maf, or do what most people on here have done, including myself, and get a alloy joiner and silicone joiner to space it closer to the wing

The filter will fix right onto the MAF housing, however it has been known that an air filter will flow better if given an extension for the air to straighten out in before it hits the MAF housing. The added benefit of spacing it out is that you move the filter to a cooler part of the engine bay. You may need a 45º silicone bend though.

Bill @ Badger5 on this site mate. Done my jetex 07003 (70mm) for £38 delivered.

You need 70mm for Leon Cupra, or 80mm for Leon Cupra R, with the latter being slightly more

Just a jubilee clip which comes with it. But as said above, invest in a 70mm alloy joiner and 700 silicone joiner off ebay, got both off ebay for around £12 posted. A few people on here have made different mounts up to stop the maf from moving about whilst driving too

You will also need a small breather filter for the sai

Yep. 70mm connections. So you would connect the silicone joiner to the maf, then the metal joiner, then the filter ;)
