Probably been asked before but i cant quite find the answer.

If i got my car jabba'd and got say.... 210 BHP i then was to add a dynatwist,a DV and a race cat and back box would i then have to have it re mapped again to take into account the new mods...?

Or would it just adapt to these mods and automatically run say....230 BHP..?

Help appreciated guys thanks :D

I'm not saying you CAN'T do it ,it's just BETTER if you have the remap after the other mods so that the extra air flow the filter and exhaust create can have better fueling.

More air in needs more fuel,The ECU can only do so much within the parameters of the map.

Mork...whats funny??

So is it more of a generic remap then as i heard Jabba was a little more customised than Revo??

I may be wrong obviously!!!

Standard car produced 218bhp/210lbft @ jabbasport, it was then remapped and produced 272bhp/290lbft.

6 mths later i took it to JBS and it produced 269bhp/294lbft

At awesome a few mths back i achieved 235bhp @ wheels and 305lbft.

(Given losses of around 40bhp that puts that at approx 275bhp)

So pretty consistant results from 3 sets of rollers! Torque probably went up at awesome due to the exhaust being fitted after the previous JBS RR test.

Cool mate, just been reading up on Jabba's site and i think i may go for the custom remap, seems to offer slight better gains.

think i will be going for it then adding the other mods at a later date.

I might ring em and have a chat to them :)

Put it this way - 'custom' would have to be a broadly used term....

try asking for anything other than a 'progressive' map - can't do it because that's all he has from the company he buys the software from.

1.1 bar, 1.2 bar 1.3 bar - upload dyno a couple of times, give a wildly optimistic dyno plot & the punter walks off content with a dyno plot giving number way above any other.

just for kicks ask for one with lots of low down grunt, and you're not so bothered about max revs power. "errr. progressive?"

no - normally I get shot down.

normally by people who asked for the brainwash option when they walked in.

I went there open minded, but with some idea's - and went away after a wasted day.

I don't have any experience of his big turbo k04 maps, so I couldn't comment. I was talking about the 1st post - ie std car.

Every time i've been down he's usually on the rollers for a good hour surely thats more than just a few runs and they are doing somethig to the map.
Optimistic dyno reading? old rollers may be but not new one you look at Bills at Jabba was 349whp then 360 at Awesome, unless Awesomes are mega over reading.
