I would love a rocker cover if there is one knocking about.
Also a passenger headlight too - but they are never intact in scrappies :(

Thank you please

Just headlight, but its not massively important.
Rocker cover would be good, as thinking of either painting one red or polishing it as part of my engine bay dressing

Was thinking about the rocker cover today and i am guessing crez is right. So if i can get my hands on one think i will have it RED to match the samco hoses.

Started my engine bay cleaning today and its looking so so much better already.

car will look mint with a red rocker cover on yours mate!

not all scrappie's are, some think they own gold and try and scam you
one scrappie said they wanted £75 for an astra ecotec plastic cover (covers 1.4/1.6 engines) just a piece of flimsy plastic i nearly swore and laughed off lol

p.s. take your own tools, as most will charge you like stupid amounts to take the most simple thing off!

Worth noting that now that due to good old health and safety not all scrappers are insured to have you rooting around in the wrecks and they will have to remove any parts for you.

your kidding? all the ones i go to let me?
kinda stupid, it's the joys of scrappies, i learnt so much going with my uncle (a mechanic) from 7-8 years old!

Theres a u-pull-it about an hour and a half drive from me. They have cat b cars, you pay for the car (very cheap!!) and you get 7 hours to strip the car. Only thing you dont get is the battery, catalytic converter and shell.

You take your own tool's etc with you and whatever you take out in the time you get. But you are not allowed to take the engine or gearbox out, that has to be done by someone from the place. Must be to do with health and safety.

Unfortunately not :(

Been going to my local all 6 years of driving for bits over the years, got there tooled up ready to go end of last year and thats when they told me.

oh really? well the ones i normally go to (went 2 weeks ago) let you dismantle stuff

but this one in cov i've never been to, but my mate has, and when he rang they said "would you like to take the parts off or we can charge to do it ourselves?" so should be ok! *touchwood*
