well thats the first thing id change, infact i did onl last week, picked up a pack of ngk plugs for 16quid from halfrauds, although mine is an 8v

5mins to swap them over and the car felt instantly better

could be 1 of a whole bunch of things though

yeh that was gonna be my main focus for attack iv just had the plugs out and they are dry and fine a little carbon build up and i just used some sand paper to remove some build up and see how this fairs

just another idea it could be what about air filter/blockage in pipes?

I have a the same recurring niggle with mine, happened 6 months ago then it righted itself until last friday leaving work.

sometimes its fine, then the next time you drive its like a sack of ****, then the nest time you drive its fine.

sounds daft but check the pipes for air leaks too

my servo pipe had rubbed through and seemed to do similar

top right of the inlet manifold as you look from the front

comes out backwards into a valve (make sure the small pipe has a green cap on)

then bends 90 left along bulkhead onto the servo just to the right of the master cylinder (where you put the brake fluid)

iirc theres a small bore pipe also goes off to the right round the strut top and another coming off the throttle body that is worth looking at - just visual check em to be safe - never know

you'd probably feel you have to brake harder if the servo wasnt fed with vacuum properly but then mk2's always feel like that to me anyway :)
