Issues with VagCom 409.1 on Vista

Hi guys,

I recently got a OBD-II cable from Ebay.

Downloaded VAG-COM 409.1 on to my Windows Vista laptop.

I can setup VAG-COM fine in the options screen, however when I try to do anything else (scan for fault codes, for example) Windows just says that VAG-COM has stopped working and will now close.

Any ideas how I can fix this?

run it in XP Compatability mode..
