I was out a test drive in the Exeo last week while my own car was in for a bit of warranty work. It is a really nice car to drive and is really well kitted out as standard so why do they appear not to be selling as I have only seen one on the road and I am driving about a fair bit for work.

Has anyone else seen many of these about yet?

Seen a few about, but as new car sales were down, certainly not surprised you haven't seen many. I've seen 2 or 3

But then again its all proportional

As the VAG group go, how many Leons do you see compaired to VW Golfs or Audi A3's?

Can say the same about Ibizas compaired to VW Polo's

I bet you will always see more VW Passats and Audi A4's than you will SEAT Exeos.

Reason you haven't seen many is SEATs don't sell in the same volumes as Audi or VW

I like it that they aren't very common - means most people don't know what it is. I read somewhere that SEAT only expect to sell about 1500 of them this year.

Guys

I've just finshed a three week promotion with the EXEO and being that it was a new range for Seat I was a little concerned for the market that the Company was trying to aim for, however having driven and trailered six of the EXEO's around the country, all I can say is what an impressive car.

In my opinion I would purchase one of these if I wanted a nice family exec car. The six we had where all diesel and ranged from the 143bhp TDI to the top of the range 170bhp TDI ST version.

Im not a fan of Diesel cars but this really opened my eyes.

There's no F in Quality..
Had mine for about 5 weeks now, and only spotted 2 others on the road!

Seems that the fleet/business market that Seat were hoping to take a chunk of just hasn't materialised like they thoughts it would. Possibly due to the current economic climate and businesses not buying 'new' cars at the moment......

Must get another drive in a sport to see how much harder the ride is compared to the SE, considering either a exeo 143 tdi sport or a highline passat at the minute but not sure which I would rather go for.

Just update on your car,

As its a early car, it's defo on the short life service as the newer car's have a oil condition sensor for the long life version.

Had the same thing with another early customer of the Exeo

sorry

Most likely at work
iv seen a couple... what would be stopping me buying one when i become sensible is that they had to base it on the older platform rather than the up to date one...that though will just be stuck at the back of my head no matter how nice it is...bit of a bummer :(

SEAT released their annual sales figures and the Exeo recorded more than 1,400 sales despite only appearing in showrooms part way through the year.

The only reason SEAT got the B7 platform was because Audi was no longer using it.

The whole idea of the Exeo project was to offer an affordable luxury fleet car for much less than the competition in its price sector and bring it to market in a much shorter time frame than would of been achievable otherwise. An older B7 platform is still great value for money and is ahead of many of its competitors in terms of technology and value.

It has been reported that the next Exeo will be much more of a unique SEAT concept based more than likely on the B8 in engineering but have its own unique SEAT look.
