Is my MAF on its way out?

i recently fitting a Forge TIP and noticed it felt a bit slower, asif it werent boosting properly! then last night i put on a pipercross cone filter and its just not boosting properly at all.

doing about 40 and drop into second gear letting boost build up, floored it and it just juddered, held back boost and the engine management light flashed.

put the standard airbox back on and its still not boosting right!?

gonna get it plugged in diagnostics this weekend!

how much could i get a MAF for?

any help appreciated cheers

maf's are about £60 from euro car parts iirc.

get it scanned though to make sure its definately the maf.

Noooo dont say that im getting my TIP fitted today lol and only just changed my MAF dont want it dying again lol

TIP won't do anything as it's engine side after the MAF. Pipercross cone filter could affect it, depends how oiled the filter is. Try cleaning the MAF (be careful) and going back to standard airbox and see if it improves, best bet would be to get it on VAGCOM to be sure though

more likely due to the vibrations caused when fitting TIP and filter. as above, the new TIP itself wont cause maf failure

still, unless you know for sure dont go and buy one. easy test is just to unplug the maf

well ive cleaned the MAF today and i now have boost again! lol
still gonna get it checked on diagnostics as the engine management light is still on!

gona clean the throttle body 2mora and put v-power fuel instead of BP ultimate!
