I have one and I use my iPhone 5 with it. I use an extension cable and a lightning adapter, my phone does charge with the lead combo I use.

it charges?

i suspect the charging pin on mine got bent or broken by either me or a previous owner trying to fit the ipod without looking. i hoped the extension would sort it, but alas, it didn't. bugger.

Mine has the dock under the seat. As stated it charges the iPod, I have an mfd2 so don't get track display or anything but it does the job on random

Haha fair enough, I went to Android and wish I hadn't. I think iPhones are so much better!

I feel the opposite, my wife has an iPhone and I dont like it at all. My brother in law has a 5s and is forever charging it. My G2 lasts for ages under heavy use. I never really understood the appeal of the iPhone, they seemed a lot of money for a midrange phone. Nicely made, but not enough to justify the money in my view!

Funnily enough, I do like my Ipod touch, it has lasted me 6years and as long as it is always plugged in, it works fine. Just wish I didn't need iTunes for it!

In the long run when it comes to selling it you get more money back as they hold the value so much better, I just prefer the interface and my S4 interface is just sometimes lethargic and slow.

The S4 is slow because of the Touchwiz interface. If you rooted it and put a AOSP/Vanilla ROM on it you would find it a lot smoother.
I have a Nexus 5 that runs pure Android and have no issues with lag.

Agreed. T'missus got an s4 cos a review said it was quicker than my HTC one but the ui and all the other junk Samsung loaded on it slow it right down.

To the op, apologies for this turning into a phone discussion.

Just found the connector under the seat.
Couldn't believe its there. Its really hard to reach.
I stuck my iphone4 in there and it worked.

No charging though.
