Does anyone else have an iPod dock under the drivers seat? How does it work????? It's been bugging me for nearly a year! Lol 
I don't have one but I am guessing you plug an iPhone or iPod in and then hit the CD/AUX button till you get your music playing...

Does it have the connector that's about an inch wide or a little tiny cm wide one (lightning)?
I'm not sure which ones fit in the slot as I have never seen one lol I am merely clutching at straws...
Which iPod did you buy may I ask? nano, shuffle, iPod touch or the classic?
Just to be clear, it isn't a regular usb slot is it? I have the 3.5mm Aux slot so don't for sure, but if your iPod doesn't fit, it may not be an iPod socket?
You can have either an aux, or a usb, or an IPod socket with the standard headunit. Just one input.

Mine works, just plug it in and it comes on the aux on your headunit, only thing is, I have noticed that mine doesn't seem to power the iPod, only read from it, so the battery dies on long journeys.... Unless anyone can tell me different?
i've got one. removed the ipod holder in it, as it was a bugger to fit an ipod nano. then i got an extension lead off ebay, makes it a lot easier to plug in. i have to remove mine every coupla days cos it won't charge in the dock. if three cds appear on your stereo display then the stereo knows its there. press cd/aux twice, till it says 'cdc' on the display. that should be you. once it's in, i press the '6' button on the stereo, that selects all songs, then i just skip through the tracks randomly till i find one i like.

same here. when i plug it in, the ipod says 'charging not supported with this accessory' i just keep the charging lead in my car and plug it in at work or at home, whichever one i was heading to when it dies.

just search ebay for ipod extension lead, there's hunners of them. i'd recommend picking the shortest one you can though, no point getting a 1 metre one, there isn't that much room in the box for it. they're pretty cheap mate. i made the mistake of ordering one from china, took about a month to get here!
any one should work, long as it's got the long thin 30 pin connection on it (same as iphone 4) lightning (same as iphone 5) won't work. think the dock is sized for an ipod classic. my car had a kind of cartridge in it for a different model, i just pulled it out, gave me a bit more room to play with.

Just incase you do have an iPhone 5, My mate had the official cable extender and the official 30 pin to lighting adapter and it worked fine. Don't think there cheap like but will save you money if anyone already has the iPhone5.
